I am all for automatization. But in general, afair, this requires
setting up some kind of code with Twitter, and to enter this code into
an app or script, so the app can for example take an RSS feed and post
new items to the timeline. I'd be happy to investigate if it is possible
to use such a script locally / on a trusted machine instead of using a
3rd party application.

I think indeed that we can handle this during the sessions and in
particular if the person who takes care of the announcements is present.
