Ciao,
in passato ho contribuito a questa iniziativa, che mira a mantenere in
posesso delle uteti i propri router di casa.
Infatti ho collegamento internet con un ISP che permette ai propri
clienti di gestire il loro router, ed ho recensito negativamente ISP che
non lo permettono.
La campagna della FSFE è proprio su questo e fanno raccolta dati sugli ISP.
Inoltre mantenere il router in possesso dei "consumatori" ed
intercambiabile, permette alle persone di decidere di far girare
software non proprietario sul router stesso.

Preservre la libertà del software negli apparati di rete e la net
neutrality sono due condizioni a mio avviso molto importanti per non
vivere in una società sotto controllo di massa.

L'email della FSFE, gFree Software Foundation Europe mi è arrivata
stamattina, non ho ancora letto tutto, ma da quanto ho capito l'AGCOM
sta facendo una consultazione tra professioniste del settore per avere
idea di che opinioni ci sono.
Sarebbe sensato che in Italia ci siano un po di persone che si
mobilitino. La scadenza per la consultazione è a brevissimo, 10gg.
Parliamone insieme chi vuol far qualcosa

Together with other industry-led organisations, we were able to convince
AGCOM to open procedures to regulate the position of the Network
Termination Point (NTP) under the criteria established by BEREC to
determine whether routers and modems should belong to ISPs or to
end-users. Now, AGCOM has prepared a preliminary decision considering
that in fiber networks, the ONT should belong to ISPs, and end-users can
only connect to the internet via "bridge mode". AGCOM opened a public
consultation on this and we at the FSFE will participate.
We believe Router Freedom is very important. The deadline is April 3th.
Please note that AGCOM requires a PEC email to submit your position.
