While you researched this, did you find a rationale for Tor Browser
diverging from pristing Firefox 60 regarding bookmarks?

I haven't tested how much Tor Browser differs from Firefox 60 because I
think I can't do that from my Tails currently. I'll try again from a
different operating system when I'll get a chance.
