Interesting trick! I have no clue why this is happening; it might be
that po4a could be fixed quite easily if someone fancies patching
hand-written parsers.
I'd like to apply this patch but could you please unfuzz the PO files
in a follow-up one? It would make me sad to apply a patch that broke
existing translations in order to make future ones easier. Thanks!
