Subject: [Tails-testers] Tails 3.2~rc1 upgrade from v 3.1 - fails to start!
Hi
I’ve been using Tails successfully for some time.
Tried to follow the instructions to upgrade to 3.2~rc1 from within a running 3.1.
Ran the command given: (NB the below is retyped, but I copied/pasted the actual command from the page in Tor Browser)
# echo TAILS_CHANNEL=\”alpha\” >> /etc/os-release && tails-upgrade-frontend-wrapper
And got the failure messages:
No protocol specified
xhost: unable to open display “:1”
Did only minor checking that I hadn’t made an obvious error, and for this in ‘Known issues” pages.
