I've taken care of it, as part of the LHF session => passes some basic
manual tests, and a couple features of the automatic test suite
(erase_memory, evince). Merged!

Well, it was removed already and the builds were broken again.

Agreed. May you please please file a ticket about it, so that we don't
forget to clean things up in the next major release or so?
