Agreed. The great thing is that our "Tails does not boot"
documentation explains very clearly (IMHO) how to disable the splash
screen and see the actual messages, so I personally don't worry
too much.

I agree this would be an improvement -- although low-priority, patches
are welcome, etc. since it's already well documented IMHO :)

TTBOMK there is no such thing in live-boot, and live-config comes
after the root filesystem is mounted.
