I had a look to your changes. Here are some comments

About commit 09d89fd: I think that it was nice that the beginning of the
about page was a short summary of the goal of Tails:

Tails is a live CD or live USB that aims at preserving your privacy
and anonymity. It helps you to:

    - use the Internet anonymously almost anywhere you go and on any computer:
      all connections to the Internet are forced to go through the Tor network;
    - leave no trace on the computer you're using unless you ask it explicitly.

    [...]

I'm not convinced that it is better with the new first paragraph:

Tails is a live system: a complete operating-system designed to be
used from a CD or a USB stick independently of the computer's
    original operating system.

    [...]

I think that it is better to start to summary the goal of Tails in a few
words that to explain what is a live system, which is already done lower
in the page in the "Use anywhere but leave no trace" section.

So I suggest to reword this first paragraph to something like:

Tails is a live system that aims at preserving your privacy and
anonymity. It helps you to use the Internet anonymously almost
anywhere you go and on any computer but leave no trace.

Which might be followed by:

It is a complete operating-system designed to be used from a CD or a
USB stick independently of the computer's original operating system.

What do you think?

Cheers,

Alan
