ciao

actually in ubuntu there ARE some issues related to python, I've
managed to install it in ubuntu doing some manual tricks and fixed the
package 1 month ago for that, but seems still some bugs remain.

I've just seen i made the package "forcing" dependancies on some few
python2.3-* packages, so I will review why and fix that.

thanks for reporting, and a more detailed report on the mailing list
would be really appreciated as it might let others provide their
feedback about it, and give me further info to check those specific issues.

you are right, it was broken, my friend told me that yesterday when I
arrived in his place here in paris, so it's fixed except for the
repository browsing, which remains broken since I've changed the svn db
backend from BDB to FSFS.. do you know who might know about this?
I want to fix it asap, but i was quickly searching around without
success. I will get back to it soon.

anyway the svn repository does work so you can checkout, update and if
you would like write access to contribute on code changes or whatever
let me know and I activate it

so the browsing is not that critical (not that much at least)
