Hi,

FTR, Romain announced 6 months ago that he can't keep maintaining
Metadata Cleaner:

https://gitlab.com/rmnvgr/metadata-cleaner#unmaintained

As far as I know, no new upstream maintainer(s) have offered to take
over. I'm going to use some Tails/Tor communication channels to try &
find volunteers.

Peymaneh, as the maintainer of metadata-cleaner in Debian (thanks!),
I think it's up to you to decide whether you feel it's reasonable to
include it in Trixie.

>From a Tails perspective it would be more convenient if the package

would make it into Trixie anyway. AFAICT the package is in good shape,
and it's a quite simple Python program, so I'm not worried about our
ability to find developer skills & capacity to fix any critical or
security-sensitive bug that would be reported during the lifetime
of Trixie.

Georg and Jonas, who've been maintaining MAT in Debian since many
years, might want to chime in as well, so +Cc.

Cheers,
