Hello Tails Devs,
I am a computer enthusiast and read about TailsOS a few months ago.
Yesterday I finally had the time to test it out. Since I didn't have a
spare USB drive, I downloaded the .iso file and put it into my Ventoy USB
(Ventoy is a multi-boot USB live tool by the way). After testing it out I
realised a few things:
1. Tails doesn't natively support Ventoy
2. You can't use persistent storage as is in the USB drive
3. Tails even forgets your user profile when booting up a second time (I
don't know if it's supposed to do that as I'm using tails for the first
time)
Tails had a really nice GUI though, so please keep it that way :)
I do have a few suggestions though:
1. Please look into native support for Ventoy. It would be nice to use just
1 USB for all my .iso files instead of one for Tails and one for Ventoy
2. Also please check if there are any privacy or storage concerns if
someone uses Tails in a Ventoy USB
As many people use Ventoy, supporting it may be very beneficial, so please
consider it!
