Oggetto: [Tails-dev] Question: Intel SGX disabled in BIOS
Hi,

My name is Ashutosh Pandey I've been using tails for the past 2-3 months
and most of the time it works fines but for the past 2 days it shows me a
message at boot time that Intel SGX is disabled in BIOS even though I
haven't made any changes to BIOS my BIOS doesn't even have the option for
Intel SGX but after a bit of googling I found out how to enable SGX and I
enabled it and the message went away but even now my BIOS doesn't have SGX
option.

what I don't understand is if SGX was disabled all this time why show a
warning now?? I didn't even know about SGX before today.
does tails use SGX?? I found 2 issues on Gitlab mentioning SGX one was
closed due to inactivity(
https://gitlab.tails.boum.org/tails/tails/-/issues/10484) and the other
that mentions SGX is this (
https://gitlab.tails.boum.org/tails/tails/-/issues/15796).
If SGX was enabled then how it got disabled??

apologies in advance this is my first time using mailing lists
