Assuming this happened with Tails 5.8, here are some workarounds you
can try:
- If possible, plug the monitor into the motherboard's Intel graphics card, as
opposed to the Nvidia graphics card.
- Explicitly select the Intel graphics adapters in the BIOS
instead of letting the system choose one automatically.
- Add the i915.force_probe=46a6 boot option

and let us know whether it helps.
Additionally, please try our experimental images with a newer Linux
kernel:

it fixes the problem.
