[Tails-testers] Tails features in 4.12/4.13 not working

I'd like to report the following. System is a Lenovo Thinkpad T410 laptop on which previous Tails releases have worked splendidly:

1. The Tails Greeter persistence feature never worked under v4.12 and does not now work under 4.13. In both cases the "Welcome Screen toggle can be set (enabled), but this change is lost during the first subsequent reboot.

2. The Tails 4.13 feature that protects the root of Persistence does not work. The contents of this directory remains accessible when no admin password is set.

Any ideas as what I may be missing here?
