Some of our use cases, such as those that involve international
travel, could indeed benefit from such a feature.

You're on the right path, as far as Tails is concerned :)

It's of course too early to promise we'll include this software,
but at least this will allow us to evaluate it.

Could you please describe why, and how the resulting storage stack
would look like?
