Subject: [Tails-l10n] development updates for translators
hello dear translators:

last year we had some hiccups on the integration of the translation platform, apologies for that!

we are working again on this, since some weeks:

- the translation platform is not crashing anymore
- the translations are being fed back to the main website
- the staging site is refreshed more often

We have more plans, that you can see at the gitlab milestone
https://gitlab.tails.boum.org/groups/tails/-/milestones/98

These are our priorities at the moment.

You can see other issues we will work on at: https://gitlab.tails.boum.org/tails/tails/-/issues?label_name%5B%5D=C%3ATranslation+Platform

If you want to report an issue you can do it there, but please have a look at the existing issues before, it may be already reported.

Or you can report them in this mailing list.

We are also working on the definition of our role as translation platform maintainers, please have a look as translators and tell us if we are missing something, we are working on: https://gitlab.tails.boum.org/tails/tails/-/issues/17726

We have a lot of suggestions on the platform, it would be great if the reviewers can have a look and:
- accept suggestions
- remove the ones that are wrong

Because all this suggestions take a bit of a hit on the server, as we render them on the staging site, and suggestions with errors break the build.

The documentation is still at https://tails.boum.org/contribute/how/translate/with_translation_platform/ and will be updated soon, after we upgrade Weblate.

Please answer to this email if you have doubts, and if you don't feel like doing it publicly you can always contact me privately or on the Tails XMPP support channel

Thanks for your work and patience!
