Testo in inglese (in italiano nel mio precedente post)

What is happening in Greece, on the Greek-Turkish border and in the Greek islands is of unprecedented gravity. Thousands of people are subjected to violence by the Greek Police and Frontex, used as meat for slaughter for political interests. Whole platoons of exasperated Greek citizens turn armed at the border and in the islands to repel and attack the refugees.
The attacks on humanitarian organizations by fascist groups are also repeated, which in no way are hindered in their violence by the Government: the burned School of Hope is a striking and terrible example, as well as attacks and hunting activist, to the refugee and to the journalist by hordes of racist xenophobes, a phenomenon totally uncontrolled and to which only the action of groups of anti-fascists have responded.
In response to the seriousness of the situation, the Greek Government adopts an Emergency Legislative Decree which provides for the suspension of the right to seek asylum for all people who enter the country and their return without registration, in their countries of origin or transit, is worthy only of a fascist country and a Europe complicit in crimes against humanity. This decree led to the imprisonment of hundreds of people in some centers of Greece. And yet the President of the European Commission Ursula Von Der Leyen who went
to Greece on March 3, instead of denouncing the multiple ongoing crimes and the suspension of all rights of people fleeing wars and privations of all sorts, congratulates the Greece for its role of "shield" by declaring war on men, women and children whose images of mistreatment and abuse are the emblem of our Shame. The "democratic" Europe rejects and attacks to the point of violently killing those it should accept and sends Frontex "emissaries" to increase the dose. The images shot in dozens of newspapers where the Greek Coast Guard is seen, near Bodrum, who tries to overturn a rubber dinghy while some
hooded men beat the refugees with sticks with sticks and shoot them in the air, are clear. Shoot instead of Asylum. In these days, Coronavirus also comes to worsen the life situation of refugees in Greece, already severely affected by inhuman living conditions in Greek camps / lager.
.
WE ASK TO
- Withdraw the emergency legislative decree in Greece
- Immediately stop push-backs, police violence and manhunts on the
Greek-Turkish border and in the isles
- Immediately evacuate of the islands by transferring asylum seekers
to the mainland, immediately restoring mechanisms for the transfer of
refugees and asylum seekers from Greece to other Member States.
- Take all necessary measures to protect each person from acts of
violence and racism.
-Cancel the EU-Turkey declaration, which infringes the rights of
thousands of people.
- Provide suitable medical devices to cope with a potential increase
in Covid-19 infections.
