BACK TO SCHOOL on Tuesday 3rd March (Coronavirus permitting). Spread the
news ... I hope to see you all and if possible bring your friends along
because we are at the start of a new term!!

The homework is very easy, so please check out the BBC video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oaOl9wA5Ws

There are many mistakes in the subtitles, especially when the Chinese
doctor is speaking, but, notwithstanding this, they still help you to
understand the gist better.

1. First viewing

Look at the video and answer the questions:

b. What do you think of the *drive through* facility to get tested? (1.50)

shopping"? (5.08)

e. What is your opinion on "In Japan all schools are to close for a month
in a bid (attempt) to stop further spread of the virus" ( 5.40)

f. What impression have the following words of the Chinese doctor made on
you'? "Mortality ... that's the thing we should address right now... I lost
5 lives, *5 lives*, in one night" (7.15 - 7.59)

2. Second viewing: Vocabulary activity

a) What does NHS stand for? (0.15)
