Hello,

It was fixed as you already saw. I have been writing the draft email to
you for few days but out of the scope to send any more. But thank you
big time for willing to throw a hand in case there was no way out. It
was well received and noted. Keeping it as a get out of jail free card
up my sleeve :)

Basically the new 3.3.8 version of Electrum introduces few more
dependencies that were not in Debian at all, such as
python3-aiohttp-socks and python3-aiorpcx.

I'll comment more in our bug tracker tickets for the following topics:
We have python3-zbar as well now so we can also support QR code scanning
with the webcam of the laptop. This was more interesting to me as it is
part of the functionality for the application itself for at least one
use case. Hardware wallets however are not, and should be treated as
plugins. So if some are not in Debian at all, I don't see it as a
problem for our user base.

Electrum had tons of stuff refactored and bugs fixed and it's now so
much more robust and stable. I think the versions that will be pushed in
Debian starting with this one (including this one) should last longer.
So it should be more in balance with Debian package policy.

I expect one major release after 3.3.8 which will include lightning
support (a way to send transactions off-blockchain and save fees as well
as save space on the blockchain - when that time will come I will create
a new mail thread and explain in detail how this works as well as what
are the risks and advantages and what safety tips users need to follow
so we can write the proper documentation for our users) - we should
definitely have it in Debian / Tails.

Huge public thanks to Laurent Bigonville, Tristan Seligmann and Piotr
Ożarowski who took their time to make this happen.

Cheers!
