I created #16680 for this.

I thought it would be easier to automate adding an HTML version to our
postings. I think there's also some email format that allows having a
fallback plain text version for clients that don't display HTML, so
hopefully we can add the HTML version without degrading the experience
for plain text users.

Improving amnesia-news will also be good for our donation campaigns.

I created #16681 for this. I'll do it while writing the release notes
for 3.14.
