Oh? Many Linux distributions rely on Gnome though and so this tool seems
to be widely available.

The one downside I can see is it is a large download for someone with low bandwidth.

Thanks for mentioning it. I let our documentation people check if
mentioning other tools might still be useful. I think we will still have
the dd option somewhere.
