Hi,
we will release a Tails emergency release early next week in order to
give users the available software mitigation measures for the Meltdown
vulnerability. In order to do this we'll have to upgrade the Linux
kernel from 4.13.x to 4.14.y. This may impact Tails' hardware support.
Please test an *experimental* Tails ISO image with the new kernel
in the next 72 hours:

If you notice regressions compared to Tails 3.3, please report
it here including:
- the full filename of the ISO you've tested
- description of the regression

For now I'm only trying to gather information about the impact of the
upgrade to Linux 4.14 on Tails. These experimental ISO images don't
include the aforementioned mitigation measures (KPTI) yet. I'll send
another call for testing once we have them.
