Scanned the entire "longstanding known issues" page.

Boot Process
Made it to boot loader screen, and continued.
Halts at blank (black) screen without making it to Tails Greeter.
Rebooted with troubleshooting option.
As soon as three progress squares turn color (video mode change?) the
screen of text where the boot process halts is flashing/blinking (the text)
at about 4 herts/sec. for about 2 min. before stoppong, with text intact.
Still no Tails Greeter.
At this point: No keyboard or mouse response, but, Ctrl-Alt-Del has the
same effect as clicking reboot/shutdown in the GUI: "you can now remove the
device..., memory will be wiped...".

Tails 3.0 Beta 3 instal
The instal device and the upgrade device are two different divices.
Both are Sandisk Ultra 64 GB USB devices.
They both had Tails 2.11 to begin with, and worked just fine.
They both have a persistant volume.
Boot device used to do upgrade:
Sandisk Ultra 64 GB device with Tails 2.11
Copied Tails 3.0 Beta 3 ISO to persistant on this device.
Upgrade device
Sandisk Ultra 64 GB device with Tails 2.11
Booted boot device and did the following: "Upgrade a Tails USB stick to
the version of an ISO image"
