in Oracle VM VirtualBox (version 5.1.8, Linux 32-bit, 1536mb RAM)
Hi,
All is good. I can now load Tails 3.0 (and 2.7) in VirtualBox with no hanging bug.
The error was, I had to create a completely new VirtualBox profile with Linux 64bit. The first tkme, I just edit the old profile from 32bit to 64bit, but I guess VirtualBox editor cannot handle big changes.
Cheers,
Greg

Hi,
Thank you for your advice, but sorry, i am stuck using the free version of VirtualBox on Windows(which has input/output software for my physical handicap). Virt-manager just runs on Linux.
I change VirtualBox to use 2gb of ram, and 64bit linux.
Tails 3.0 gave the same hung bug.
Tails 2.7 gave the same hung bug.
Tails 2.6 is good!
Do you know anybody else who uses Virtualbox for Tails 2.7 or 3.0?
No worry, I will keep using Tails 2.6. Maybe Tails 3.1 (or next Virtualbox version) will work.
Cheers,
Greg

That Tails >= 2.7 does not boot is expected and due to the Linux 4.7
upgrade. However it should boot in a 64bit VM.
According to our requirements, Tails needs at least 2 GB of RAM.

We do. I run Tails 2.7 and 3.0 successfully using virt-manager instead
of Virtualbox. Could you give it a try this way?
Also, if you want to retry on Virtualbox, can you make sure you are
using a 64-bit VM?
