To address the security bug, Debian has disabled PDF support in MAT entirely.
I heavily used MAT for cleaning PDFs. And I miss using this feature terribly. I am holding out hope that one of you supremely awesome developers could produce a patch in time so that a fully functioning MAT can be included in the Debian Stretch 2017 release.
