Oggetto: [Tails-dev] Help needed for customizing Tails
Hello!

I try to customize Tails by adding to it some apt-packages and files. I
want to do that because some people (more than 10) need documentation
and softwares that are not shipped with Tails. It would be too much
(repetitive) work to add the required softwares and documentation on
each key Tails.

I read these docs:

- https://tails.boum.org/contribute/APT_repository/

And I also search in the dev mailing list.

But I still do not understand how to add a package not provided by the
Tails's APT repo. For beginning I want to add the chirp package. So I
put it the binary package chirp in the folder
config/chroot_local-packages/ but I have unmet dependencies (putting
these dependencies in the same folders do not resolve my problem).

It seems that I could add a file in the folder config/APT_overlays.d to
add sources, but I do not know what to put inside the file.

Could you indicate me the right procedure or resources to explain it ?

To be honest, I am not very familiar with advanced Debian administration.

Thanks in advance

cibi
