Signal per il momento non e' federato.
@Gnarfoz it's a federated server model, which means that (in theory)
everybody can run his/her own server, as with XMPP/Jabber. Currently
there are only two servers: WhisperSystem's and CyanogenMod's. If you
want to start your own: grab the server source, get an SMS gateway (for
the verification) and ask WhisperSystems to add your machine to the
server network, as this is not yet automated.

c'era la federation con i server di Cyanogenmod, ma il progetto
WhisperPush e' morto e quindi ora c'e' solo il server di
whispersystem(AWS USA).
