.Il Dipartimento di Stato USA ha mandato la email che segue a tutti i cittadini statunitensi in Italia, per dir loro che sarebbe prudente starsene lontani dalla manifestazione di domani.
Invece il governo americano NON ha avvertito i suoi cittadini di starsene lontani dalle conferenze stampa della NATO in Italia, eventi davvero pericolosi.   Chissà perché?

The Italian National Police has notified the U.S. Embassy in Rome of several protests scheduled for this weekend in Rome, Milan, Vicenza, and Sigonella.  The protests are being organized by the Piattaforma Sociale Euro Stop group (Social Platform Euro Stop).  The demonstration, titled Basta Guerra (Stop War) is scheduled to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the commencement of the air campaign of the First Gulf War. The Italian National Police do not expect the protests to be violent.  The schedule, route and expected number of participants are listed below. 
 
Rome
Date/Time:  January 16, 2016 from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Route: Piazza Esquilino - Via Cavour - Largo Corrado Ricci - Fori Imperiali - Piazza Madonna di Loreto
Number of expected participants:  1,500 to 5,000
 
Milan
Date/Time:  January 16, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Route:  Piazza San Babila - Via Orefici - Corso Di Porta Ticinese - Piazza 24 Maggio
Number of expected participants: 500
 
Vicenza
Date/Time:  January 16, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Location: To the  west of Caserma Del Din near the Eastern bank for the Bacchiglione River
Number of expected participants: 50 
 
Sigonella
Date/Time:  Tentatively scheduled for January 17, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 
Location:  Near the main gate to Naval Air Station SIgonella
Number of expected participants: 80
The U.S. Embassy in Rome recommends that all U.S. citizens and their families avoid the areas of the demonstrations and exercise caution if walking or driving in the immediate area.
