You are right.

My proposal is to keep the field with bullets, and the user can click
on show passphrase.

That's right. From my experience, I use this kind of button only when
I fail. It's not a big deal to type it again from the clear input to
prevent from typos, CAPS, and layout issues.

Probably. But probably proposing a "show passphrase" too (this feature
is in a super buggy right click in my wheezy). So I'm finaly OK with
the current proposal not to diverge too much from the rest of the system.
