hi,

i also think, that most non-tech people use the word 'klonen' (the
german translation of clone) in reference to sheeps or human beings in
tv shows.
i definitly see the advantage of the word 'copy' as being known by most
of the users.
the word 'duplicate' from my point of view has the characteristic of
being used for 'physical artefacts' (like keys) which makes it easier to
understand when applied to an usb stick (although we don't really
duplicate the usb stick) - but still think that 'copy' is more
comprehensible.
