That's not a bad idea. :)

Tails uses different translations. Most of the software which is shipped
in Tails is already translated. This is because this software comes
through Debian or the GNOME graphical environment and they have their
own translations.

In Transifex one can translate the Tails custom programs, those which
are specific to Tails, like the startup screen, which we call the
Greeter or the Tails Installer. I don't know how well or how much of
them is translated and how well in Farsi.

What I would suggest is that you get a Tails copy running on a USB stick
and you choose Farsi from the startup screen. Then you can see how well
the software itself is translated and what is missing.
Do not hesitate to report back on this here on the mailing list for exampls.

However, the website and thus the documentation is translated using Git.
Currently we only have european languages here.
This is what is currently the difficult part as it involves the demand
for a bit of technical skill. However, one can also imagine to send the
translators the PO files, which you can find in the Git repository under
wiki/src/ and that a more technical person (you?) takes care of checking
them back in to the versioning system.

About word counting.. there are many tools which do this, for example
