British anti-slavery activist Andy Hall could face 7 years in prison and
a $10 million fine for his investigation into labour abuses by Natural
Fruit. The Thai pineapple company decided to try and silence Andy with
lawsuits instead of taking allegations of worker exploitation seriously.

*Andy Hall is a brave anti-slavery activist who advocates for the rights
of migrant workers. Two years ago, Andy investigated potential labour
abuses at Natural Fruit, part of NatGroup, a Thai company that processes
pineapples and supplies retailers around the world. Instead of
addressing the allegations, Natural Fruit has taken him to court. If
proven guilty, Andy faces 7 years in prison and $10 million in legal
damages.*
Allegations of modern slavery and exploitation must be investigated, not
ignored. <
