Indeed, it seems wrong, and quite far from what our thinking on it has
been for at least a couple years. It could be the case that we still
are saying that because of #5975 ("Update design documentation about
network fingerprinting") not having been tackled yet.

Same here.

Now, I'm not opposed to trying it out: let's remove AdBlock in our
next major release, and see what users say. It might be that the next
step is to re-add it immediately until we have persistence for add-ons
and their configuration, but it might also be the case that very few
people complain.
