intrigeri probably said that we wouldn't merge it into "master" before
the core pages are translated. What I'm proposing here is different and
complementary. We could have a topic branch for your work on the main
repo, called "po/es" or something different and go on merging your work
there little by little (say page by page). Then, once the core pages are
translated we would merge "po/es" into "master". But until then we can
do the review and merge work step by step.

We use branch names with slashes the time. See
http://git.tails.boum.org/tails/refs/. So that shouldn't be a problem
and make them a bit better organized actually.

I know that the Portuguese team have a dedicated mailing list for
organizing amongst themselves, and they probably speak Portuguese on it.
If you feel like you need it, please request it to root@???.
Thankfully, we don't administer our own mailman instance.
