The problem with editing templates in ikiwiki is that the whole website
is rebuilt in all languages every time you change something.

So once you are tired of that, you could temporarily disable the PO
plugin from your local ikiwiki configuration. Still it's good to make
sure everything works fine with translations enabled once you are done.
