As for your problem with shutdown/memory wipe; take a look here:
https://tails.boum.org/support/known_issues/index.en.html#index13h2
Your wifi problem with your mac is because Tails, being based on
Debian, does not come compiled with the driver to support the
particular Broadcom chip that powers your Airport card. Depending on
the year/model of your Macbook Pro you may have a few different options:
1.) No Wifi--Use either the ethernet connection.
1.a) If you have a newer model of macbook pro that doesn't have
an ethernet jack, but instead only has a thunderbolt port, you
can use Apple's Thunderbolt-to-ethernet cable and then connect
hard-wired via that.
2.) Wifi without modifying Tails:
The easiest thing to do is to purchase a USB WIFI dongle that
uses a chipset already supported. You can find many places to
find supported dongles. A good place to look would be:
https://wiki.debian.org/rt2800usb
....which includes the Linksys WUSB54GC v3--which I have tested
& works fine. These dongles usually run anywhere from $15-30
USD.
