yes, skype should be absolutely avoided for security reasons. Not only
its content is insecure; it could also act as a backdoor, which would
defeat any other security measure

hey, it seems that you hit a bug! Actually (if you have persistence
enabled) torbrowser will NOT be downloaded every time: there will just
be a simple check to see if it is updated.

Are you sure it is getting really downloaded every time? Is persistence
enabled?

IceWeasel (as customized by freepto) blocks a large number of trackers.
TorBrowser uses different security measures, and we really don't want to
touch too much the security measures adopted by torbrowser developers.
I suppose that the choice of not blocking trackers is to avoid being
_more_ identifiable as a torbrowser user.

I don't know the exact reason why those trackers aren't blocked, but
keep on mind that having a 'blacklist' of trackers does not really
protect you: just setup a new tracker, and the blacklist is not updated
anymore!

If you want to increase your anonymity even more, disabling javascript is
a great idea: just click on the "S!" logo at the left of the navigation
bar, and say that you want to block scripts globally.

Thanks for making us notice that anyway!

well, it's really great to hear such things

sure, we aren't going to do any dramatic change, only ensuring it's
always easier and easier to use.
