Ah, that's another bug, then.
There's code (Rakefile's lines 220-224 in current devel branch) to
avoid this. So, either this code was never tested (not that
surprising), or it's been broken your patch. It should not be too hard
to fix this separately, I guess.
If any Vagrant user would be kind enough to file a ticket about it,
this would be great.
