+ merging feature/additional-software-dont-check-conf-twice into it,
since they go together, it passed code review, and I expected you to
test it eventually at some point anyway (see the dedicated thread),
which would require you to build an ISO anyway.
Sorry if my actions make your life more painful, they were only meant
at making it easiers.
