I didn't dare to update the Mac instructions blindly. I'm putting
kolohe@??? in explicit copy of this mail. I hope he can have a look.

I never experienced the need to do anything more than plain `dd`. Did
you? I know Alan is a big `dd` fan, so I'm putting him in explicit copy
as well so he speak out.
