mercedes508 & I have just finished bringing that branch
(doc/either_git_or_transifex) to a state we're happy with, and marked
the ticket as ready for QA. We've done quite a bit more work on this
page as what was initially specified. I hope you like it :)
sajolida & others, please review *but* don't merge yet: this branch
should be merged in lockstep with feature/intltoolize.

I doubt this will go anywhere in the end, but it would indeed be sad
to give up without trying.
