Which commit? d1a46fb? 1868290? None is using the verb "preserve" so I'm
not sure which one you are referring to, and what part of the message is
problematic. I've read them both again and they are fine with me, so I'd
rather you change them directly.

The name of the branch mentions `preserve` but it's sometimes hard to
know where the dev will lead you when you choose the name of a branch.
