I have a proposal that is half written on the topic. Once I write the
proposal, I will probably build it into Tor if no one else beats me to
it. It will however require a bit of work as we don't want to keep such
time setting capabilities forever, etc.

Sure. Of course.
However - the goal here is to for tlsdate to work everywhere - it will
work anywhere where openssl works and that is even more places than Tor,
sadly. I also want it to be used by groups that are not Tor - even if
tor could set the time in this way, I'd want a way to check that
confirms it. Trust but verify, right?
