OK. As discussed on IRC, we're aware of this serious issue.
A great part of the problem may be solved relatively easily by
shipping a hybrid ISO again [1]. A first useful set of reports would
be to try our obsolete Mac installation instructions [2] with a Tails
ISO that was hybrided first, either with `isohybrid` (from the
syslinux package, on GNU/Linux) or with `isohybrid.pl` (Perl version,
can be taken from the syslinux source, should hopefully work on OSX),
and reporting back if it works, how exactly it fails, and the exact
hardware model / version. Also, trying with refind instead of refit
would be nice too.
Runa and other Mac users, could you please try this?
The remaining part of the problem will be solved by adding UEFI
support [3] to Tails. We're currently making plans with Debian Live
upstream so that this support is added there, and benefits all Debian
Live systems.
