No progress so far.
It's still in my low-priority personal todo list.
It has nothing to do with "upstreaming", though.

No.

There's no TODO item because it's not something I feel like we *have*
to do. This is definitely something that would be very desirable.
But we never pretended we wanted to turn every bit of complex,
Tails -specific, system-integration feature into a Debian package. So,
if one of us does it someday, I'll call it a fine present to non-Tails
users, rather than "upstreaming".

But anyway, given the current state of relative brokenness of this
feature, I'd rather see it *fixed* first, else it does not make sense
to seriously talk about packaging.

Please be a bit more careful when asserting no one reads this or that.
Those who actually spend hours doing so, on their free time, may feel
their work is not considered as it should.
