The SMART Project, receiving funding from European Union's
               Seventh Framework Programme announces its
                         First Policy Workshop
                        Surveilling Surveillance
Join us in Florence, on 25 and 26 September 2012, to discuss on the
present status of smart surveillance systems, on risks and opportunities
inherent to the use of these technologies from a multidisciplinary
approach, crossing law, sociology, technology and economics.

Smart project Members together with academics, stakelholders and policy
makers will sit around the same table exchanging and debating on their
different views relating smart surveillance systems.

The Workshop is organised by ITTIG - Institute of Legal Information
Theory and Techniques of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR)
with the support of IRPPS – Institute for Research on Population and
Social Policies of CNR.
