I realize we've passed the deep freeze, so I'm unsure whether this can
be merged now. OTOH all reported issues were fixed before the freeze, it
just wasn't merged (likely because I didn't request it, sorry :/).
So, to merge or not to merge [despite the deep freeze], that is the
question.
