[RSF] Comunicato stampa: aggressione contro il centro socio…

Il giorno
26 novembre, tra le 22.30 e le 23.00, una trentina di uomini armati di bastoni
di ferro a volto scoperto ha tentato di fare irruzione nel centro Ararat di
Testaccio a Roma entrando nel cortile antistante al centro, rompendo tavoli,
sedie e vetri e costringendo i rifugiati politici kurdi lì ospitati a chiudersi
dentro la sede. Gli aggressori hanno ripetutamente minacciato i kurdi
intimandogli di non uscire più da Ararat e di non farsi vedere per il vicino
quartiere di Testaccio, che ospita numerosi locali notturni. Solo il sangue
freddo mostrato da alcuni dei rifugiati presenti ha impedito il precipitare
degli avvenimenti. L’episodio sembrerebbe una “spedizione punitiva” organizzata
dal giro dei buttafuori di alcuni tra questi locali, infastiditi dalla presenza
di alcuni rifugiati nelle vicinanze. I carabinieri, accorsi sul posto dopo che
queste persone si erano dileguate, hanno potuto accertare i danni e
accompagnato i testimoni nei locali notturni della zona.

Non è
possibile tollerare o minimizzare questo atto gravissimo che ha avuto come
obiettivo dei rifugiati, visti evidentemente come persone deboli che si può impunemente
colpire. Chiediamo alle istituzioni e alla società civile di vigilare per
evitare che episodi come quello di ieri sera abbiano a ripetersi con
conseguenze non prevedibili.
