Hi,
while our website and Git repositories at boum.org were down these days,
the Tails planet didn't stop.
I've been working a bit on the Tails 0.8 upcoming release.
Here's a quick summary of recent news in our devel Git branch:
- Tor 0.2.2.32 is now stable -> install it
- merged feature/support_arbitrary_dns_queries into devel
(was waiting for Tor 0.2.2.x)
- Linux 3.0 from Debian sid
- merged feature/lzma
(was blocked by a decision upon shipping a new kernel)
before complaining next time you build a test image,
you want to read what [[build]] says about it.
- use ControlSocket, disable ControlPort
- fix foxyproxy regexps and patterns, again
- Fetch msva-perl and its dependencies from squeeze-backports.
It indeed now starts.
- Install https-everywhere from sid, remove embedded copy of it.
This is starting to look very much like something I want to ship soon.
I think I'll work towards uploading a RC before the end of the week.
Bye,
