Tails-Greeter project (
https://tails.boum.org/todo/TailsGreeter/ ) has finally
reached important milestone: basic functionality should work :)
Please help testing it by building TAILS .iso from "feature/tails-greeter" branch in
git.immerda.ch/max/tails.git OR by building package directly from
git.immerda.ch/max/tails-greeter.git and installing it to your tails system.
What should work:
- after gdm is loaded you should see request for language (example: English)
- next screen will allow you to pinpoint exact locale (example: en_GB)
- next screen allow you to pick password for "amnesia" user which will be asked when
you invoke sudo (example: "sudo ls" will ask for password which is "amnesia" be default)
- after login type "locale" in terminal to verify that it's properly applied
Known issues:
- layout selection does not work yet
- too many screens and button clicks
Please give it a try and report any errors you'll hit:
- wrong locale for your language?
- inconvenient behavior?
- confusing message?
- something just wrong?
